Abstract

The issue of the interpretation of Allama Iqbal's Lectures has been a topic of discussion among Iqbal scholars. The purpose of the sermons was to present such an interpretation of the teachings of Islam to the modern educated mind, which could correct the fallacies resulting from modern sciences and theories. When the research studies on Allama Iqbal's lectures began, the scholars mentioned two methods for the teaching of the Holy Quran and the understanding of Islamic civilization in the context of modern science and scientific development; Reconciliation and differentiation. Reconciliation means that modern scientific research does not negate the teachings of Islam and the concepts of the Holy Qur'an, but explains and interprets them. But differentiation means that religion and modern science are separate fields, so it is not correct to refer to the other field of knowledge for understanding the concepts of one field of knowledge. The interpretation of Allama Iqbal's lectures has been called Reconciliation, but in this article, challenging this point of view, the concept has been presented that the interpretation of Allama Iqbal's sermons is neither implementation nor differentiation, but it is a method of Assertion and Affirmation. In order to prove the teachings and concepts of Islam, Allama Iqbal used modern scientific studies where it was necessary.
