Abstract

Iqbal's poetry describes universal themes and ideas so it becomes an intellectual treasury for humanity. In the beginning of Bal e Jibreel Iqbal has given three major themes: the Creator, the universe and the man. When Iqbal discusses these three themes, whether in his prose or poetry, he describes it with man as its center. However it is different from the approach of those who declare man as the only standard when they take their world view as anthropocentric. According to Iqbal man needs both Haq and khalq for his perfection. It is the perfection of man which is the major objective of Iqbal's poetry and two elements are necessary for it: concept of Haq and the concept of khlaq. This article describes the detail of these themes in the light of second ghazal of Bal e Jibreel.
