Abstract

Philosophy of Khudi is the central theme in the thought of Iqbal. His concept of khudi dominates all those concepts which have been discussed in his poetical and prose works. Iqbal is the first Muslim philosopher who discussed the philosophy of time and space in his poetical works. He had developed a keen interest in understanding and discussing the philosophy of time. His letters show that he has contacted and written to many scholars of his time to discuss various dimensions of concept of time. Iqbal also met Henri Bergson during his visit to Europe and he discussed the problem of time with him. His extra ordinary interest in the concept of time gave new dimensions to his poetical and prose works.
