Abstract

This article is about the Zaboor-e-Ajam number of the daily Inqilab. In that sense, it is a document based on historical memoir. As this number was published shortly after the publication of the Zaboor-e-Ajam, so this enhances its significance even more. Ghulam Rasool Mehr and Abdul Majeed Salik, two big names among the true and loyal fans of Iqbal, were in the Inqilab at that time. They had published this number with great care. The editorial for this number was written by Mehr. Mehr Sahib and Salik Sahib have shown excellent ability in introducing the thought of Iqbal. In addition, this article also details the meetings of Mehr Sahib and Salik Sahib with Allama Iqbal. This article also gives details regarding the names were under-consideration of Iqbal; before deciding on the name Zaboor-e-Ajam. The details along with commentary of this thought and philosophy of Iqbal are also described in this article.
