Abstract

Abdullah Bakhtani is one of the first Iqbal scholars and intellectuals in Afghanistan whose intellectual efforts made Iqbal popular in Afghanistan. He has tried to convey Iqbal's thoughts to the people of Afghanistan by using Pashto as a medium of expression. In the same way, he has also employed Persian as a means of explaining, interpreting and propagating Iqbal's poetry. Abdullah Bakhtani's articles and books have been published in both Pashto and Persian. Numerous of his articles and books have been instrumental in making the interpretation of Iqbal's thought, the intellectual capital of the Afghan nation. In the article under study, these efforts have been made the subject of discussion.
