Abstract

Allama Iqbal is an advocate of Islamic economic Philosophy. Asceticism helps to make society healthy and transparent through positive and emendating moral values and disallows agnosticism, accumulation of wealth, imitation, and lust. Allama Iqbal has given a specific vastness to the meaning of Asceticism. Allama Iqbal has given a complete explanation of his writings. He has not only presented the concept of Asceticism and Altruism(فقر و غنی) in his writings but also implemented it in his own life. That’s why the writings of this great Philosopher incorporated truthfulness which deeply inspired a vast number of his readers and side by side the thinkers, researchers, intellectuals, and scholars of the world. The concept of asceticism and altruism of Allama Iqbal lies in mysticism, patience, forbearance, and humility but not as a weakness, ineffectualness, or helplessness of any kind. The same adherence and forbearance, surrender and acquiescence and humility are the spirits of the Islamic school of thought and the significant characteristics of the Superman (مردِ مومن) of Allama Iqbal.
