Abstract

The stage of world has shifted after Western renaissance. It is the day of market economy now. The desire to follow West is at peak in the third world countries. In these circumstances, the rest of the world i.e. East is increasingly afflicted with lack of self consciousness and self awareness. The slogan of "modernity" has risen from the West in which it is stated that the world is moving towards a certain system which has never been experienced before by mankind. What did Iqbal want in these circumstances and how did he want to lead the humankind? Focus has been made on this particular issue in this article, particularly with reference to Iqbal's poetic work, Pas Cheh bayad kerd.
